Closure of Rock Club
You may at first think this doesn't concern you ... but I'd really appreciate
your help. Music Lovers all over the North of England have, for years, flocked to
"The Mayfair" in Newcastle on Friday and Saturday nights -- following its
reputation as one of the best clubs in the city.
The city council (in its "wisdom") have decided that the people of the city
would benefit far more from (yet another) cinema ... but thousands of people
understandably are opposed to these plans ... if you want to help fight against
the closure of The Mayfair (planned for March '99) then please visit
